Melania Trump Blasted for Issuing False ‘Both Sides’ Statement on Kids Ripped from Parents

Melania Trump issued a false statement Sunday that backs up the President’s lie that there is a law forcing him to separate children from their parents and families at the border – and she’s getting blasted on social media for it.

“Mrs Trump hates to see children separated from their families and hopes both sides of the aisle can finally come together to achieve successful immigration reform,” spokesperson Stephanie Grisham told CNN. “She believes we need to be a country that follows all laws, but also a country that governs with heart.”.

The First Lady’s own immigration story is questionable, as several news reports last year revealed she entered the country and began working without a work visa, which is illegal. And her own parents qualify as being part of what President Trump and his supporters call “chain migration.” They came to the U.S. and apparently became American citizens as a result of the First Lady’s citizenship status.

Many on social media were furious she entered the political debate, which she has said she would not do. Others are angered that just like her husband, she is now lying.
