“Fox & Friends” co-host Steve Doocy Monday morning continued to defend President Trump’s policy of ripping children from their parents. After lawmakers and journalists gained access to the Trump administration’s internment camps for kids, photos have been making their way around the news and social media.
Doocy did his best to push back on the fact that children, some as young as 18 months, are being transported and housed in cages.
“Some have likened them to concentration camps or cages, you do see they have those thermal blankets, you do see some fencing, but keep in mind – some have referred to them as cages – but keep in mind, this is a great big warehouse facility where they built walls out of chain link fences,” Doocy said, redefining the word “cages.”
Watch:
Doocy clearly was speaking to an audience of one: President Trump, who is a huge fan and watches the show daily.
Children in the internment camps are segregated by sex, so if, for example, a little girl has a little brother, they are not even kept together.
