De Niro’s Tony Awards Message to Donald Trump Gets Tremendous Support
Robert De Niro appears to have made history. Easily one of the greatest actors of his generation, De Niro delivered a very specific message to the President of the United States at Sunday night’s Tony Awards, and he’s now getting massive support – and, naturally, attacks from the right – for his censored remarks.
“I just want to say one thing — F*ck Trump,” De Niro said, to great applause – and a standing ovation. “It’s no longer down with Trump. It’s f*ck Trump.”
WATCH: ROBERT DE NIRO DROPS AN F BOMB ON TRUMP AT THE TONYS – GETS STANDING OVATION
On Twitter “De Niro” is trending and many – including his fellow actors and other entertainment notables – are rushing to his defense.
Reminder: While #MorningJoe was still normalizing Trump, having him on every day, people were working hard trying to show Trump was evil. #DeNiro didn’t help elevate Trump, but your show did. A LOT of people needed the raw catharsis #DeNiro gave #FUCKTRUMP

If any Republican Congressman criticizes Robert De Niro tomorrow for what he said about Trump, please ask them how they feel about any of the hundreds (thousands?) of offensive things Trump has said in the past two years, let alone in his lifetime.#TonyAwards

Why shouldn’t we say FUCK TRUMP? We all have to tip toe around the fact that this compromised dolt is ruining every facet of our Democracy without an ounce of care who he hurts? De Niro is right and Tonys were a fine place to say so. Should be said every day in clarion voices.

When the inevitable #DeNiro “outrage” rages, remember these are the “Fuck your feelings, you triggered snowflake!” hypocrites. #FuckTrump

Strange how so many Republicans are outraged at what Robert De Niro said, yet they are completely fine with the man they voted for and support openly bragging about being able to assault women because he’s famous.

Want to criticize Robert DeNiro?
When you help put a vulgar perv like Trump in the White House you can expect a vulgar response from America.#FuckTrump#TonyAwards

Gosh, I hope De Niro hasn’t hurt our chances of winning over any racist, anti-Semitic, nativist Trump voters in 2018. And they were so close to supporting Pelosi as Speaker…

Tonight Robert De Niro expressed the view of 3/4 of Americans when he said “fuck Trump” and received a standing ovation during the #TonyAwards tonight.
Robert De Niro did his part to wake up Americans.
