Despite having revised his personal ethics disclosure filing form at least 39 times (having to do so once could send others to jail) the White House has just quietly bestowed Jared Kushner with a permanent top secret full security clearance.
The New York Times, which just broke the story, reports “Kushner’s clearances were approved by career officials after the completion of the F.B.I. background check and that the president was not involved in the process.”
In February, CNN reported the “head of a government bureau responsible for clearing background checks told lawmakers … he has ‘never seen that level of mistakes’ when asked about numerous omissions in Jared Kushner’s security clearance application.”
Kushner lost his provisional security clearance in February.
