17-year old Dimitrios Pagourtzis has been identified as the person suspected of killing at least 10 people at Santa Fe High School in Santa Fe, Texas, according to CBS News and other outlets.
MSNBC’s Pete Williams describes him as a student athlete at the school. According to local reports, he used an AR-15, a shotgun, and a pistol.
Pipe bombs and pressure cookers were found. Other possible explosive devices were found in two homes several miles away, and are believed to be related to the shooting.
“Screenshots of Pagourtzis’ now-deleted Facebook page show that he posted images of a t-shirt with ‘Born to Kill’ written across it and a trench coat covered in pins he said represented ‘kamikaze tactics’ and ‘bravery,'” The New York Post reports.
“Witnesses told CW 39 Houston News that the shooter was wearing army boots, a trench coat and a t-shirt with ‘Born to Kill’ written on it.”
He “allegedly shouted ‘surprise’ before opening fire on students and teachers,” Heavy reports.
