‘Ready If Necessary’: Trump Threatens North Korea After Canceling Summit

‘We Are More Ready Than We Have Ever Been Before’ the President Says

President Donald Trump has just threatened North Korea, an hour after sending Kim Jong-un a letter canceling the June 12 nuclear summit.

The president made a brief statement before the cameras in the White House, saying the U.S. military is “ready if necessary” for war, should North Korea take “foolish or reckless acts.”

“Hopefully, positive things will be taking place with respect to the future of North Korea,” Trump said, adding “we are more ready than we have ever been before,” presumably for military action.

For some reason, the president added that Japan and South Korea are “ready to shoulder” the financial costs to the U.S. of going to war.

Trump went on to say “it is possible that the existing summit could take place or a summit at some later date.”
