The Robert Mueller investigation just heated up again. It appears the special counsel’s Russia investigation is turning its sights onto Trump advisor Roger Stone. Mueller just issued several subpoenas for a social media consultant linked to Stone.
Jason Sullivan, who is being described as a social media and Twitter specialist, was hired by Stone “to work for an independent political action committee he set up to support Trump,” Reuters reports, citing a lawyer for Sullivan.
“The subpoenas suggest that Mueller, who is probing Russian meddling in the 2016 U.S. presidential election, is focusing in part on Stone and whether he might have had advance knowledge of material allegedly hacked by Russian intelligence and sent to WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, who published it.
Last week CNN interviewed Roger Stone and discussed if he is a target or subject of the Mueller investigation.
