Kellyanne Conway: Expect Heads to Roll Because White House Aides Are ‘Using the Media to Shiv Each Other’

Kellyanne Conway is warning White House staffers to stop leaking and undermining each other in the media. The Counselor to the President took to Fox News Monday evening to reinforce President Donald Trump‘s threat earlier in the day on White House leaks.

Trump had suggested that the leaks coming out of the White House aren’t actually real or accurate, tweeting that they’re “a massive over exaggeration put out by the Fake News Media in order to make us look as bad as possible.”

But the president in that same tweet subsequently suggested that the leaks are bad: “leakers are traitors and cowards, and we will find out who they are!”

Conway said she “had several discussions with the president on this very topic today.”

She also told Fox News’ Martha MacCallum that White House aides are “using the media to shiv each other,” noting though that it happens “less so now” than in the beginning.

Appearing to address White House staffers directly, Conway delivered a curious word salad of warning.

“If you work at the pleasure of the president, as we all do here, and you have the privilege and the blessing of coming today, every, today, every work in this White House, on behalf of the nation that we all love, then you ought to be competent, you ought to be loyal, and you ought to be able to reinforce the agenda that prevailed here.”

Asked if there will be personnel changes after they find the leakers, Conway said, “I do, actually, yes I do.”
