Trump-Supporting Republicans to Paul Ryan: Get Out. Now.

Trump-supporting Republican lawmakers “are pissed” Speaker Paul Ryan isn’t leaving Congress immediately, but will stay to finish his term. GOP donors say Ryan staying through the end of the year is “not an option,” according to The Daily Beast.
“Members are pissed. I think this is going to cause some angst,” retired GOP Rep. Tom Davis, who has been speaking with current House members, says. “I don’t know what he was thinking. I think this was a huge miscalculation. I think this is the captain abandoning the sinking ship.”
Meanwhile, Republican donors are also furious.
“He’s not going to stick around. That’s not an option,” said a Republican described as a “prominent GOP donor.”
“As a donor, would I ever give him a dollar if he’s not going to stay around? Fuck no…. We need someone with skin in the game who actually cares about the majority.”
