MANIC MONDAY
Trump Apparently Didn’t Get an Easter Basket Because He’s Twitter-Ranting ‘Our Country Is Being Stolen!’

President Donald Trump kicked off Monday morning with a series of tweets ranting about caravans of immigrants, the border wall, DACA, and all these immigrants stealing our country.
“Mexico has the absolute power not to let these large ‘Caravans’ of people enter their country,” he tweeted at 7:02 AM. “They must stop them at their Northern Border, which they can do because their border laws work, not allow them to pass through into our country, which has no effective border laws,” he said. We’ll assume he meant “enter our country,” not their country, because if their border laws work they wouldn’t he been able to enter Mexico. Or something.
That tweet was followed by this demand for more laws, which he’s willing to pass unlike gun control laws, which he’s not. Also, apparently, “our country is being stolen!” by all these immigrants entering the U.S. illegally.
…Congress must immediately pass Border Legislation, use Nuclear Option if necessary, to stop the massive inflow of Drugs and People. Border Patrol Agents (and ICE) are GREAT, but the weak Dem laws don’t allow them to do their job. Act now Congress, our country is being stolen!

And then, he lied, claiming Democrats want open borders:
DACA is dead because the Democrats didn’t care or act, and now everyone wants to get onto the DACA bandwagon… No longer works. Must build Wall and secure our borders with proper Border legislation. Democrats want No Borders, hence drugs and crime!

All these followed three similar tweets on Easter Sunday raging about the border and DACA.
Conservative pundit Bill Kristol offered one of the best responses to Trump’s Monday madness:
“Act now, our country is being stolen!” probably sounds better in the original German. https://t.co/JdnM6W1BDQ

Trump yet again is raging to the American people instead of working directly with congress to pass his agenda. It’s a total waste of time, unless his goal is to change the national conversation and throw blame about his inability to do his job onto everyone else.
