Trump and Conway Both Insist ‘Many People’ Want to Head the VA
President Trump and Kellyanne Conway on Friday said there are “many people” who want to become the Secretary of Veterans Affairs after Dr. Ronny Jackson withdrew his flailing nomination.
The Counselor to the President told Fox News viewers Trump “is expected to announce a new Veterans Administration nominee, on his timetable. It will be in the near future. And there are many people who would like to have that position.”

It’s unclear why Conway or Trump feel that is important or should be a deciding factor.
Curiously, at his bilateral press availability with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, President Trump used the exact same language, telling reporters, “We have many people who want that job.”
