‘Time to Freestyle’: Baldwin’s Trump Returns to SNL (Video)

Alec Baldwin returned to “Saturday Night Live” (SNL) for the comedy sketch show’s latest cold open, tackling a range of topics.

The sketch began with an introduction by Fox’s “Outnumbered,” with Leslie Jones portraying anchor Harris Faulkner. “‘Outnumbered’ is the title of the show, and also how I feel here at Fox News,” Jones quipped.

Fox News alerts followed, including “IMPEACH OBAMA?” and “MEXICANS,” before Baldwin’s Trump made his appearance alongside Kate McKinnon, Alex Moffat and Heidi Gardner as leaders of the Baltic States.

“Hello, hi, how’s it going? Let’s make this quick,” Baldwin began, “because I’ve got a lot of trade wars to escalate here, okay? That’s why I just announced tariffs on my Chinese products, including fireworks and finger-traps… we’ve also expelled the infamous Chinese billionaire P.F. Chang.”

“Trump” soon turned to reading a prepared statement “to prove that I can read… ‘do not congratulate Putin,’ wait, that’s a note to me. Okay, reading… and… go.”

Before long, Baldwin’s president advised it was “time to freestyle. First up, a big congratulations to Vladimir Putin.”
