VIDEO: Senate Committee Passes Bill to Protect Special Counsel – Will McConnell Allow a Vote?

The Senate Judiciary Committee overwhelmingly has just approved a bill to protect Special Counsel Robert Mueller from being fired by President Donald Trump. The vote was 14-7.

Republican Chairman Chuck Grassley, and GOP Senators Jeff Flake, Lindsey Graham, and Thom Tillis joined all Democratic committee members to pass the bill.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has flatly stated he refuses to allow the bill to be voted on by the full Senate. Even if he does, and if it were to pass, it would have to pass the House, and the President would have to sign it – all of which are unlikely.

But the bill’s passage does send a strong message to the White House.
