DECEPTION
Alan Dershowitz Rips Sean Hannity: You Should Have Revealed Michael Cohen Is Your Lawyer

How egregious is it that Sean Hannity kept his relation with Donald Trump’s personal attorney Michael Cohen a secret, even when he covered Cohen in the news, and interviewed him? Staunch Trump defender Alan Dershowitz, who many see as a highly-respected attorney, scolded the Fox News host for not disclosing to his viewers that Cohen is his attorney. And Hannity was not pleased with the betrayal (video below).
Monday afternoon the news that Cohen has been Hannity’s lawyer was broken in a Manhattan court room when a judge directed attorneys to reveal the name of Cohen’s third client.
“I really think you should have disclosed your relationship with Cohen when you talked about him on this show,” Dershowitz told Hannity Monday night. “You could have said just that you had asked him for advice or whatever. But I think it would have been much, much better had you disclosed that relationship.”
Hannity fought back.
“I have the right to privacy,” he told Dershowitz. “I do.”
Actually, in this case he doesn’t. Hannity had a journalistic responsibility to tell his audience of his relationship with Cohen when he repeatedly spoke about him on his Fox News show.
Sean Hannity reportedly makes $36 million a year. You give up some right to privacy when you become a public figure. Telling your viewers the truth is one of them.
