‘Fascism Will Not Prevail’
For weeks the actual owner of the Trump International Hotel in Panama has been trying to evict the Trump-installed management team, who barricaded themselves inside, until Monday. Like many Trump branded properties the Trump name is leased, neither the president nor his family, nor the Trump Organization actually own the hotel.
“I am the owner,†Orestes Fintiklis said, according to ABC News, as he finally was able to forcibly remove the management from his own hotel.
Fintiklis wasted no time having the Trump name hammered off the hotel’s marble walls.
“Fintiklis gained access to the tower’s main office late Monday morning,” ABC adds. “The colorful property owner told reporters he would not be commenting about the morning’s actions at this point. He then played a song on the piano for the gathered onlookers with lyrics that, when translated, said, ‘Fascism will not prevail.'”
