Trump Tweets Audio From Screaming Right Wing Extremist Conspiracy Theorist – and Claims US Media Has ‘Gone CRAZY!’

Claims ‘Mainstream Media in U.S. Is Being Mocked All Over the World’ – Which Is False

President Donald Trump Saturday afternoon, back at Mar-a-Lago after spending part of his 100th day as president at a Trump golf resort, tweeted out a remarkably false claim while retweeting his own son’s link to a far right wing extremist and conspiracy theorist.

Mainstream Media in U.S. is being mocked all over the world. They’ve gone CRAZY!” the president tweeted. He offered no supporting evidence for his false claim. There is plenty evidence to the contrary available via Google.

Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr, had posted a link to an article from Mark Levin, which contains audio of Levin literally screaming about how the president and his family are being mistreated by the press.

“I have never seen anything like this in my entire life,” Levin says in the nearly nine minutes of audio. “These people have done nothing to deserve this kind of treatment,” he falsely claims.

Levin is responsible for a claim made one year ago this month that defied logic, reason, and facts, so of course took off in for-right wing media outlets.

“Levin’s original idea,” CNN reported last year, “was that former President Barack Obama and his allies have mounted a ‘silent coup’ against Trump using ‘police state’ tactics. Levin cherry-picked news stories that supported his thesis and omitted information that cut against it.”

That conspiracy theory came to be known as “DeepStateGate.” It reportedly was the basis for Trump’s false claim that President Barack Obama had wiretapped his phones. The DOJ after an investigation refuted Trump’s lie.
