“Fox & Friends” was behind other news networks Wednesday morning, refusing to call Pennsylvania’s U.S. House special election for Democrat Conor Lamb over Republican Rick Saccone, who President Donald Trump had endorsed on at a rally on Saturday. Lamb has been declared the apparent winner in deep red Pennsylvania.
The crew decided to credit the president with the narrow margin, after late polls put newcomer Lamb ahead of Saccone, a state lawmaker, by six points.
“If you believe in polls,” Steve Doocy told his co-hosts. “Maybe it was the president’s visit, and the visit from the Trump family. None the less, too close to call.”
“Democrats are definitely looking at that and saying, ‘What is it about this candidate that people like?'” Ainsley Earhardt said.
“Brit Hume said he was ‘cute,'” Doocy interjected.
“As he would know,” Brian Kilmeade joked. “I go to Brit Hume to find out what policies matter and sometimes, who’s the cuter one.”
“Cuteness,” Doocy added.
“Absolutely, cuteness counts, Kilmeade claimed.
