Comey Warns Trump: ‘The American People Will Hear My Story Very Soon’

Former FBI Director James Comey is weighing in on President Trump’s gleeful tweets attacking just-fired FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe and Comey himself.
Many believe Comey’s contemporaneous notes detailing his disturbing interactions with Trump will lead to the president’s downfall. Those notes, written immediately after each of Comey’s meetings and discussions with the president, include one in which he was asked to drop the investigation into former National Security Advisor Mike Flynn, and another in which Trump asks for Comey’s personal loyalty.
Saturday afternoon, Comey replied to the president’s attacks directly, warning him that “the American people will hear my story very soon.” He also noted the American people will be able to decide who is the honorable person – Trump or Comey.
Mr. President, the American people will hear my story very soon. And they can judge for themselves who is honorable and who is not.

Minutes earlier, President Trump posted a pair of tweets professing his supposed vindication while suggesting “leaking, lying and corruption at the highest levels of the FBI, Justice & State,” likely pointed at Comey, McCabe, and others, all unnamed.
As the House Intelligence Committee has concluded, there was no collusion between Russia and the Trump Campaign. As many are now finding out, however, there was tremendous leaking, lying and corruption at the highest levels of the FBI, Justice & State. #DrainTheSwamp

Trump then again made clear, as he had just past midnight, that McCabe’s firing was an act of political retribution:
The Fake News is beside themselves that McCabe was caught, called out and fired. How many hundreds of thousands of dollars was given to wife’s campaign by Crooked H friend, Terry M, who was also under investigation? How many lies? How many leaks? Comey knew it all, and much more!
