Former Trump campaign staffer Sam Nunberg made big news Monday by telling The Washington he received a subpoena from special counsel Robert Mueller ordering him to testify on Friday. He said he is refusing to show up.
Nunberg then headed to to MSNBC and for over 20 minutes gave a totally bonkers interview, at one point telling Katy Tur that he thinks it would be “funny” if Robert Mueller arrests him for refusing to show up and testify.
After that interview, Nunberg called CNN and gave Gloria Borger another wild interview.
Borger finally got a few revelations out of Nunberg.Â
“They probably want to hear about Miss Universe 2013,” Nunberg said, saying the special counsel seemed interested in that Trump event.Â
Nunberg said former Trump bodyguard Keith Schiller told him Donald Trump refused prostitutes the Russian wanted to send to Trump’s room.
Do you believe that the special counsel has something on Donald Trump?

“We were a joke,” he said. “The idea that we were colluding with the Russians, give me a break.”
But then Nunberg agreed that the special counsel might be investigating Trump’s financial dealings with Russia.Â
“Trump may have very well done something during the election with the Russians,” Nunberg admitted. “If he did that, I don’t know. If he did that, you know it’s inexcusable.”
“We already know that Michael Cohen was trying to do Trump Tower Moscow,” he told Borger.Â
Defiantly, Nunberg said, “I’m not going to build the case that they’re trying to build.”
After speaking with Borger, Nunberg went on to speak with Jake Tapper, who he told if the Mueller team has something on Trump “they’re smart enough to know it has to be during the election.”

He concludes with an attack on Sarah Huckabee Sanders: “She’s terrible.”
