‘Less Tweeting More Listening’: Trump Grows Increasingly Upset as Governor Tells Him No Teacher Wants to Carry a Gun

Watch What He Does Next

President Donald Trump grew increasingly despondent, upset, and angry when a Democratic governor shared his thoughts on the president’s call to arm teachers with guns in classrooms. Gov. Jay Inslee of Washington, a longtime former U.S. Congressman, called on the president to do “less tweeting” and “more listening” as he explained every teacher he’s talked to has said they do not want to carry a gun in school.

I’ve listened to the first grade teachers that don’t want to be pistol-packing first grade teachers,” Gov. Inslee told Trump, whose body language quickly changed from open to literally folding his arms around himself and twisting back and forth, with his facial expression turning to upset and anger.

“We need to listen that educators should educate,” Inslee continued, saying teachers should not be “packing heat in first grade classes.”

He went on to say that sometimes after people make suggestions, after listening to others maybe those ideas “don’t look so good later.”

“I just suggest we need a little less tweeting here and a little more listening, and let’s just take that off the table and move forward,” Inslee added.

“All right thank you very much,” Trump responded. “You know we have a number of states right now that do that. And I think with that in mind I’ll call on Greg Abbott,” the president added, referring to the Republican governor of Texas.
