Trump Back to Denying Russia Interfered in US Election

‘The Russian Excuse Became the Narrative’ Trump Claims

Less than 24 hours after being forced to admit Russia interfered in the U.S. election that landed him in the White House, President Donald Trump Tuesday morning launched into a Twitter tirade, determined to revert back to his default position: Russia did not interfere in the election.

After last week’s DOJ bombshell indictment of 16 Russia nationals and Russian companies for violating U.S. laws by pouring millions of dollars into a highly-sophisticated operation that disrupted the election, on Monday Trump conceded Russian involvement. By blaming President Barack Obama.

But by Tuesday morning, he was back in denial mode, tweeting, “When I easily won the Electoral College, the whole game changed and the Russian excuse became the narrative of the Dems.”

Trump first tweeted a quote from Obama, saying the election couldn’t be “rigged.” No one is saying it was – except for Trump, during the election.

Then he posted his “Russian excuse” narrative:

President Trump has taken no steps to secure the 2018 midterm elections from Russian interference.
