Took an Uber

The 19-year old man who is charged with the killings of 17 people at a Parkland, Florida high school Wednesday has confessed to the crimes, according to Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel, the Associated Press reports.

Details of his actions before and after the massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School were released by the Broward County Sheriff’s Office. Among them, he took an Uber to the school, and stopped to buy a drink at a Subway before killing his victims, and stopped at a McDonald’s after, before being noticed and arrested by law enforcement.

The alleged gunman “told officers he ‘brought additional loaded magazines to the school campus and kept them hidden in a backpack until he got on campus to begin his assault,'” The AP reports, adding that “he told interrogating officers that he ‘began shooting students that he saw in the hallways and on school grounds’ on Wednesday afternoon.”
