MSNBC’s Katy Tur Goes Off on Trump White House in Epic Rant Over Handling of Rob Porter Scandal – and Everything Else
‘Wouldn’t You Be More Surprised if They Did the Right Thing and Dismissed Porter in the First Place?’
MSNBC host and anchor Katy Tur Friday afternoon opened the 2 PM hour slamming the Trump White House for its horrific handling of the Rob Porter scandal – just an hour after the president defended his former staff secretary rather than offering support to his ex-wives.
.@KatyTurNBC lists a handful of people this White House has defended (accused child molester, neo-Nazis) and attacked (Dreamers, “shithole countries”) and asks: “Wouldn’t you be *more* surprised if they did the right thing and dismissed Porter in the first place?” pic.twitter.com/iYHRtZjEZI

“This is the same White House that endorsed Roy Moore, a credibly accused child molester,” Tur noted. “This is the same White House that has dismissed more than a dozen women who have accused the president of sexual misconduct. This is the same White House that slandered a sitting U.S. Congresswoman. This is the same White House that got in a fight with a Gold Star wife,” she continued, rattling off Trump White House treatment of women.
“This is the same White House that calls some Dreamers ‘lazy.’ This is the same White House that defends Neo-Nazis as ‘very fine people.’ This is the same White House that said the Civil War was a failure of compromise. This is the same White House that referred to African nations as ‘s-hole countries,'” Tur noted.
“The list goes on and on and on and on,” she said in despair. “The question is, wouldn’t you be more surprised if they did the right thing and dismissed Porter in the first place?”
