‘Probably Supported @realDonaldTrump Early in Campaign to Hide Who He Really Is’ Christian Leader Claims
Jerry Falwell Jr., who serves as the president of the Christian college his father founded, Liberty University, just called the Attorney General of the United States a coward.
Jeff Sessions “must be part of the Bush/Romney/McCain Republican Establishment,” Falwell tweeted Wednesday afternoon. “He probably supported @realDonaldTrump early in campaign to hide who he really is. Or he could just be a coward,” he concluded.
Falwell was responding to a tweet earlier in the day from President Trump, attacking Sessions for not initiating a criminal investigation into FBI agents who work with the FISA court and are falsely smeared with violating the law in Rep. Devin Nunes’ infamous and debunked memo.
President Donald Trump and Falwell are close friends, and Trump has delivered several speeches at the school. He also asked Falwell to be his Secretary of Education, but Falwell declined.
