Donald and Melania Trump Attended Studio 54 Party After Meeting Parkland Survivors
“Their Mood was Somber”
Donald and Melania Trump, following a day of tone deaf photo-ops in Parkland with first responders and survivors of the nation’s latest mass shooting, ended Friday night at a Studio 54 disco-themed party at Mar-a-Lago.
As HuffPost noted, Instagram user Sean Bianca shared an image of the first couple prior to making the account private. But the Internet is forever, and the image quickly made its rounds late Saturday:

Some Twitter users compared it to how former President Barack Obama spent his time after the Sandy Hook tragedy:
1: After meeting with families of the Sandy Hook victims for hours, Obama sat alone in a classroom before attending a prayer vigil.
2: After visiting with the wounded in one of the worst school shootings in U.S. history, Trump attends a Studio 54 themed party at Mar-a-Lago. pic.twitter.com/AmZSHMyGhP

Prior to making his account private, the Instagram user also reportedly updated their message to advise that the Trumps were somber:
Immediately after visiting hospitalized survivors of the Parkland mass shooting for 20 min, Trump went to a “Studio 54” themed party at Mar-A-Lago.
A woman who posted a photo of Trump there has edited her Instagram post to say Trump “did NOT dance” and was supposedly “somber.” pic.twitter.com/0pTA9V7dIL

“Please take note that the President did NOT dance,†Sean Bianca wrote. “He and the First Lady were there for a short time but neither was dancing around as one should have expected. Their mood was somber and they were there for a very short time.â€
Also of note:
Technically, he spent less than SIX MINUTES actually acknowledging the massacre…before being whisked off to “A Studio 54-themed Disco Partyâ€. https://t.co/YOqSYTxUpf https://t.co/0Uso03uXSP pic.twitter.com/VRUotBmCIt

Late Saturday, the president used the tragedy in Parkland to attack the FBI for the Russia investigation. It was just one of the many, many tweets in the president’s most recent public meltdown.
