James Comey Just Responded to the Release of the Nunes Memo – and He’s Not Happy
‘For What?’
Former FBI Director Jim Comey has once again weighed in on the Nunes memo. After posting a tweet Thursday night suggesting President Donald Trump, Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes, and anyone else who supported public release of the Nunes memo are “weasels and liars,” and comparing them to disgraced, late Senator Joe McCarthy, Comey Friday afternoon unleashed another attack – this time as an intelligence professional.
“That’s it?” Comey asked, echoing what many are saying – that the memo is a joke. He also called the Nunes memo “dishonest and misleading,” and urged FBI and DOJ officials to not bother resigning of its release.
That’s it? Dishonest and misleading memo wrecked the House intel committee, destroyed trust with Intelligence Community, damaged relationship with FISA court, and inexcusably exposed classified investigation of an American citizen. For what? DOJ & FBI must keep doing their jobs.
