‘A Lot of People Should Be Ashamed…and Much Worse’: Trump Weighs in on Contents of Nunes Memo
Memo Has Been Released to Public
President Donald Trump has just weighed in on the contents of the Nunes memo, which he just ordered declassified and sent back to Congress for release to the public.
“I think it’s terrible – you want to know the truth. I think it’s a disgrace what’s going on in this country, it’s a disgrace.” Trump told reporters as he welcomed people who defected from North Korea into the Oval Office.Â
The tragic irony that Trump is attacking vital and cherished U.S. government institutions which he oversees in front of people who risked their lives to leave the North Korean dictatorship should escape no one.
“The memo was sent to Congress. It was declassified,” Trump continued, as if he was not the one who declassified it and sent it to Congress.

“Congress will do whatever they’re going to do. But I think it’s a disgrace what’s happening in our country,” he said.
“A lot of people should be ashamed of themselves and much worse than that.”
“It was declassified,” he repeated. “And let’s see what happens.”
The memo was drafted as a tool for Trump to use to “prove” the FBI is biased against him, in an attempt to discredit the Mueller Russia investigation against trump and his team.
The memo has now been released to the public. MSNBC reports it was released to news organizations “favorable” to the president first.
