Watch: MSNBC’s Katy Tur Decimates Anthony Scaramucci With Long List of Trump’s Racist Remarks
‘I Can Keep Going’ Tur Insists
Former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci was at a loss for words as MSNBC host and reporter Katy Tur ran down an abbreviated list of Donald Trump‘s racist remarks. Scaramucci, whose own words led to him losing his short-lived position in the Trump administration, has been trying to make a comeback, but this performance won’t inspire President Trump to welcome him back any time soon.
Tur began her list with how Trump began his presidential candidacy: “Mexicans are rapists,” she said, essentially quoting then-candidate Trump. Tur went on to rattle off a long list of Trump’s racist remarks and actions.
“Muslim ban. Look at my African American. A Mexican can’t be fair because of his Mexican heritage. Both sides are to blame after Charlottesville. Elizabeth Warren is Pocahontas. Housing discrimination lawsuits. Muslims are building bombs in their living rooms. Muslims are cheering 9/11 in New Jersey – that did not happen,” Tur passed to moment.Â
“Muslim wife couldn’t speak because her husband wouldn’t let her – he implied that,” Tur continued. “All Haitians have AIDS,” she said, referencing comments published by The New York Times. “Nigerians live in mud huts. Birtherism – he championed birtherism.  The Central Park Five. Putting Hillary Clinton’s face over a Jewish star.”
“I can keep going,” Tur insisted as Scaramucci tried to respond but could not.
All the while, in fact, Scaramucci was trying to get a word in but Tur was unrelenting and would not allow it.Â
As Axios notes, the only charge of racism Scaramucci agreed was bad were the president’s remarks on the Charlottesville riots, the “Unite the Right rally,” during which a woman opposing white supremacists, neo-Nazis, and the so-called “alt-right,” was killed.
“The only one I’ll give you on that whole list is the Charlottesville one,†Scaramucci told Tur. “I don’t think you can equivocate on Nazis.â€
