Trump’s Shutdown ‘Art of the Deal’: ‘If There Is No Wall, There Is No Deal!’

Does Trump Want a Shutdown? Sure Looks Like It.

Trump’s latest tweet has just all but guaranteed a government shutdown Friday, and definitely guaranteed if there is a government shutdown, Trump and Republicans will be the ones the American people blame.

We’re less than 40 hours away from a shutdown, so what does the president do?

Demand Congress pay for his wall on the Mexican border.

This, after publicly smacking down his chief of staff for saying Trump has “evolved” on the wall and now thinks it is unnecessary.

Minutes later, perhaps realizing his error, Trump tries to pawn the blame off on Democrats:

Of course, Republicans control the House and the Senate and don’t need a single Democratic vote to avoid a shutdown. If they fail at keeping the government open, it will be the first time in modern American history the party with majorities in the House and Senate and that controls the White House has shutdown its own government.
