Trump Defends Calling Himself a ‘Stable Genius’ as #StableGenius Trends on Twitter (Video)
‘I Went to the Very Best Colleges’
Donald Trump began his Saturday morning by advising the world he is a “very stable genius†and calling his two greatest assets “mental stability and being, like, really smart.â€
Following this, he met with reporters at Camp David on Saturday, where he confirmed his intent to hold DACA recipients hostage to obtain funding for his border wall and defended his early morning tweets.
“This morning you were tweeting about your mental state,†a reporter began. “Why did you feel the need to tweet about that this morning?â€
“Well, only because I went to the best colleges, or college,†Trump responded. “I had a situation where I was a very excellent student, came out, made billions and billions of dollars, became one of the top business people, went to television and for 10 years was a tremendous success, as you probably have heard.”
He subsequently launched his latest attack on Michael Wolff‘s bombshell tell-all “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House.†Watch below, via CBS:
Trump, asked why he tweeted about his mental stability this AM, responds: “Only because I went to the best colleges… I had a siutation where I was a very excellent student… Ran for president one time and won. And then I hear this guy that does not know me…” (via CBS) pic.twitter.com/zmZwyNrNNV

As the president defended his tweets, which Twitter had already mocked in excess, #StableGenius trended to the top spot on Trump’s favorite form of social media.
Some of the top examples:

Our President would like you to know that he is a #stablegenius, and that he won the presidency on his “first try”.
If you don’t count his 2000 bid for the presidency, which seems to have slipped his mind.#25thAmendmentNow #AMJoy pic.twitter.com/gz0pbOlm4V
