The Chair of the GOP Just Said Trump and Republicans ‘Continually Reach Out Their Hands to Democrats.’ That’s False.
Totally False
Ronna McDaniel is claiming President Trump and GOP lawmakers keep trying to include Democrats in their plans but find them unwilling to “reach across the aisle.”
It is a staggeringly false statement.
She then accused Democrats of obstruction – something Republicans spent eight years doing to President Obama.
“Voters want to see Republicans and Democrats working together,” Ronna McDaniel told Fox News Business Wednesday. “The president and Republicans continually reach out their hands to Democrats.”

In fact, on every piece of major legislation over the past year Republicans have literally locked Democrats out of every stage of lawmaking. Not a single Democrat was allowed to provide input on a single Republican bill. From ObamaCare “repeal and replace” to the tax-cuts-for-the-rich, Democrats were literally locked out of negotiations.
McDaniel went on to accuse Democrats of obstructing the GOP agenda, then said voters are going to ask why. Every piece of Republican legislation has been astonishingly unpopular. Voters have already been thankful that Democrats have blocked much of the president’s plans.Â

Republicans know they are in for a shellacking in November, and they’re already trying to minimize their losses.
Now would be a good time to ensure you’re registered to vote.
