Kayla Moore Bragged ‘One of Our Attorneys Is a Jew!’ – But She Didn’t Mention He’s a Doug Jones Supporter and Fundraiser

Attorney Says He’s a ‘Passionate Supporter’ of Jones

In one of the more stunning moments from the 2017 Alabama special election Kayla Moore took to the stage the night before the vote and bragged to supporters, “One of our attorneys is a Jew!”

She made her remarks to help her embattled husband, Roy Moore, in his now-failed attempt to win the U.S. Senate seat once held by Jeff Sessions.

“Fake news will tell you that we don’t care for Jews,” Kayla Moore charged. “I tell you all this because I’ve seen it also I just want to set the record straight while they’re here,” she added, motioning to reporters in the room. “One of our attorneys is a Jew!”

What she never mentioned is that, as The Washington Examiner reports, the attorney is a long-time friend of her husband’s opponent Doug Jones, the Democrat who won the race last month.

She also neglected to mention that the attorney, Richard Jaffe, was “hired by the Moores to defend their son, Caleb Moore, against drug charges in 2016,” the paper added.

Jaffe told The Washington Examiner he’s been friends with Jones for over three decades, and has fundraised for him.

“There could not be a more passionate supporter of Doug than me!” Jaffe told the paper. He was by Jones’ side the night the Democrat beat Moore, standing beside him as he delivered his speech. He’ll be in D.C., in the Senate gallery, too, when Jones is sworn in on Wednesday.

Moore had come under fire for saying George Soros – the billionaire philanthropist, investor, and Democratic activist hated by the right – was going to hell. Moore of course also came under fire when he was accused by nine women of numerous acts of sexual misconduct, including child sexual assault.

Three weeks later, Roy Moore has refused to concede the race. He did manage to try to use his loss as an “election integrity” fundraising opportunity after insisting the Jones’ win was the result of a “fraudulent” race.
