Internet Mocks GOP for Glaring Misprint on Tickets to Trump’s First State of the Union
“I’ll See Your ‘Uniom’ and Raise You a ‘Covfefe'”
Tickets to President Donald Trump’s first State of the Union Address Tuesday night may have to be recalled over a glaring misprint. According to the tickets Trump will be delivering a “State of the Uniom” address.
Republicans may have to recall all State of the Union tickets because they say “Uniom” not “Union,” per two Dem aides. pic.twitter.com/FosSnznIHp

It will be a challenge to recall, reprint, and redistribute the tickets.
On Twitter, many enjoyed mocking the embarrassing flub:
the state of our uniom is stromg https://t.co/WXmRFtlrzb

“Uniom” is the Polish dative plural for “unia”, or “union” in English. So, state of more than one country.
Kinda makes sense when you consider Trump is a mouthpiece for Russia, right now. https://t.co/wcmiPMERYN

It could have been worse. They could have gone with State of the Onion

The State of the Uniom is poor spelling. pic.twitter.com/hYIE39d4Ba

Law professor Anthony Michael Kreis made this notable observation:
Printing “Visitor’s Gallery” instead of “Visitors’ Gallery” was a nice subtle touch, too. https://t.co/Ax2hyTqXwV

Speaker Paul Ryan’s director of press operations says it is not the fault of Republicans, but didn’t someone have to approve them?
“Republicans” did not print this ticket, per this Republican aide. https://t.co/SivxVFoGaf
