This GOP Candidate Thinks Women Democrats Are Just Like Disney Villains – Right Down to Their Clothing

‘Democrats Dressing for the Jobs They Want’ Says Courtland Skyes

The last Republican who tried to unseat Democratic U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill was Todd Akin. His ridiculous “legitimate rape” remarks ended his chances of taking the Missouri seat from McCaskill, but those were simpler times.

A new GOP candidate has emerged.

Courtland Skyes, who has wholly aligned himself with President Trump, is running to unseat Senator McCaskill. He’s apparently decided Todd Akin’s mistake was that he wasn’t misogynistic enough.

Sykes posted an ugly meme to Facebook this week, comparing women Democrats to Disney villains.

Democrats dressing for the jobs they want,” he wrote. It features Hillary Clinton, Elizabeth Warren, and a very badly photoshopped image of Senator McCaskill.

The Hill notes “Sykes defended the post to Missouri’s Springfield News-Leader, saying that it is comparable to Democrats’ criticism of GOP women like presidential adviser Kellyanne Conway, press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders and first lady Melania Trump.”

“After seeing the way Democrats have attacked strong Conservative women like (Kellyanne) Conway, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, and our First Lady, our campaign rightfully pointed out that Democrats are acting (and dressing) like Disney villains,” Sykes said in a statement. “If Democrats like Claire McCaskill don’t want to be compared to Disney villains then they should stop emulating them.”

If all that weren’t bad enough, Sykes followed it up with an official statement of his beliefs on women in general.

In short? He expects them to have his supper on the table by 6 PM when he comes home from work.

In a post that asks, “Do you favor women’s rights?” he responds:

“Well–Chanel, my fiancée, has given me orders to favor these rights, so I’d better.  But Chanel knows that my obedience comes with a small price that she loves to pay anyway: I want to come home to a home-cooked dinner at six every night, one that she fixes and one that I expect one day to have daughters learn to fix after they become traditional homemakers and family wives–think Norman Rockwell here and Gloria Steinem be damned,” he writes.

Sykes is getting a good deal of attention, but not the good kind.

Taking 3 of the greatest villians ever that have huge fan followings is seriously the dumbest move I’ve ever seen a politian make,” one Facebook user wrote about Sykes’ meme.

“You’re just precious as hell. But thanks for the encouragement to get everyone I know out to campaign against your threatened little self,” wrote another.

Responses to his views on Women’s Rights were equally negative.

Congratulations. Todd Aiken is no longer the worst Senatorial candidate in the history of Missouri politics.”

“Wow, you ARE a neanderthal aren’t you?”

“What on God’s green earth is wrong with you? Women aren’t your dinner-cooking slaves.”
