Democrats Slam GOP’s Steve Wynn Hypocrisy
DNC Says the Republican Party ‘Is the Party of Donald Trump, Roy Moore, Joe Arpaio and Trent Franks’
Republican National Committee Finance Chairman Steve Wynn has been accused of sexual misconduct spanning many years, by dozens of people, in a lengthy and highly detailed report by The Wall Street Journal.
The Democratic National Committee Friday afternoon slammed the RNC for not taking immediate action to remove Wynn, a billionaire casino owner, operator, and builder, from its leadership team. Not only has the RNC not acted, it has not even responded.
In October the RNC, RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel, and many across the GOP demanded Democrats return donations made by Harvey Weinstein. For weeks the RNC blasted and attacked the DNC.
Now, after credible and disgusting allegations against Wynn of sexual assault, sexual harassment, and even accusations of pressuring employees to perform sex acts, the RNC has been completely silent.
“In the exact words of RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel, ‘If you stand for treating women well and you stand for the respect of women, you shouldn’t take money from somebody who treated women with the absolute highest level of disrespect,’” DNC Deputy Communications Director Sabrina Singh said in a statement via email to NCRM.

“Instead, the RNC and Ronna McDaniel have helped fund the campaign of an alleged child molester, blindly supported the GOP’s attacks on women’s health, supported a President who has been accused of sexual misconduct by over a dozen women – and now they remain silent amid sexual assault allegations involving Steve Wynn, one of their party’s most senior officials.”
“This is the Republican Party. This is the party of Donald Trump, Roy Moore, Joe Arpaio and Trent Franks. Democrats will refuse to stand by while the Republican Party denigrates women. We will continue to march side by side with women all across this country because we believe that women must be empowered and respected.”
