Watch: Trump Mocks #TheResistance at Campaign Rally as Crowd Chants ‘Lock Her Up!’

‘They’re Resisting the Will of the American People’ Trump Says Despite His Historically Low and Falling Poll Numbers

President Donald Trump traveled to Pensacola, Florida Friday to hold a campaign event just 20 miles south of Alabama, where embattled accused child molester Roy Moore will face his Democratic challenger, former U.S. Attorney Doug Jones, on Tuesday. Trump pulled out all the stops Friday night, and reverted to him former campaign self where he holds court amid his devoted cultish fans. He also again endorsed Roy Moore before and during the evening rally.

At one point the President mocked members of the bipartisan grassroots movement known simply as “The Resistance,” formed immediately after Trump unexpectedly won the White House.

“They call themselves ‘The Resistance,’ did you ever see these signs? ‘Resist,'” Trump mocked, pretending to hold a sign as he slowly turned then dropped lower and lower.

The crowd loved it.

In typical Trump fashion, he immediately switched subjects, saying and pointing, “I love these guys. Look at this: Blacks for Trump.”

One self-professed member of Blacks for Trump recently on CNN said: “If Jesus Christ gets down off the cross and told me Trump is with Russia, I would tell him, ‘Hold on a second, I need to check with the president if it’s true.’”

Moments later, in the audience someone yelled, “Lock her up!” referring to Hillary Clinton.

Without missing a beat Trump said, “Hillary resisted and you know what happened? She lost the election in a landslide.”

Trump’s claim is demonstrably and remarkably false. Hillary Clinton won nearly 3 million more votes than Trump did, and his Electoral College win is ranked 46th out of 58 elections. Hardly a “landslide” by any factor.

“They’re resisting the will of the American people,” Trump told his supporters, now just one-third or less of American voters, according to polls out this week.

The crowd’s “Lock her up!” chant grew louder.
