WATCH: Trump Breaks Silence Over Flynn Guilty Plea

‘We’ll See What Happens’

For 24 hours President Donald Trump did not tweet or publicly speak about his fired, former National Security Advisor pleading guilty to lying to the FBI about Russia. Trump Saturday morning broke his silence on Michael T. Flynn entering into a plea agreement in exchange for cooperating with Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

Asked if he is worried what the retired U.S. Army Lieutenant General might tell the special counsel’s office, Trump told reporters, “no.”

“No, I’m not,” Trump said from the White House grounds before heading to New York City.

“What has been shown is no collusion,” Trump said. “There’s been absolutely no collusion so we’re very happy.”

That remains to be determined.

But Flynn’s indictment, guilty plea, and plea deal expose Trump senior advisor and son-in-law and Jared Kushner, along with formerDeputy National Security Advisor K.T. McFarland, who is now Trump’s nominee to become ambassador to Singapore.

Reporters also asked if he still stands by Flynn.

“We’ll see what happens,” Trump responded.

President Trump is heading to New York City Saturday “for a series of fund-raising events,” ABC 7 reports. “After arriving at JFK Airport, he will host three events. Tickets range from $1,000 to $50,000 each.”
