Watch Roy Moore Campaign Spokesman Lecture CNN’s Jake Tapper on Homosexuality: ‘You Do Not Understand’

Also Insists Muslims Cannot Serve in Congress Because Elected Officials Have to Swear on the Christian Bible

Roy Moore’s campaign spokesman Ted Crockett appeared absolutely astonished with CNN anchor Jake Tapper, who apparently just doesn’t understand that “homosexuality is a sin in the biblical sense.”

Responding, Tapper asked Crockett if Moore – who has been removed twice as the Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice for forcing his interpretation of the Bible into his actions and the law – thinks the Christian Bible should be the law of the land in America.

“This country was founded on the Christian Bible,” Crockett falsely told Tapper. Tapper appeared to stop himself from disputing Crockett’s claim, instead reminding him that separation of church and state is the law of the land.

“Jake, you don’t understand. You don’t understand. You do not understand,” Crockett admonished Tapper.

“Does he think homosexual conduct should be illegal?” Tapper pressed, referring to statements Moore made in both 2005 and 2015 in which Moore said homosexual conduct should be illegal.

“Probably,” Crockett responded.

Asked what the punishment should be – it’s stoning to death in the Bible – Crockett would only say, “It’s just a sin…It’s what my Bible tells me. That’s what this is about. You people want to take the two or three thousand years of our history and y’all just want to throw it out the window as if you’re just going to make your own rules, your own man-made rules and do whatever you want.”

Crockett, who clearly is misinformed on several topics, also explained to Tapper that Muslims cannot serve in Congress – echoing Moore’s stated beliefs – because “you have to swear on the Bible … to be an elected official in the United States of America.”
