Trump Cites ‘Our Pro-Life Values’ in Robocall Supporting Accused Child Molester Roy Moore

“His Vote is Our Republican Senate”

ABC News has obtained the robocall Donald Trump recorded urging Alabama voters to elect accused child molester Roy Moore to the United States Senate on Tuesday, December 12th.

Politico first reported the news that the president would actively campaign for Moore via the calls, which voters in Alabama will begin receiving today. The call follows a campaign style event Trump held on Friday just twenty miles outside of Alabama, where he was “not campaigning for Roy Moore.”

“Hi, this is President Donald Trump,” the call begins, “and I need Alabama to go and vote for Roy Moore. It is so important.”

“We’re already making America great again. I’m going to make America safer, and stronger, and better than ever before, but we need that seat,” Trump urges. “We need Roy voting for us.”

The president, who has spent Sunday golfing, proceeds to advise that he is “stopping illegal immigration and crime, rebuilding a stronger military and protecting the Second Amendment and our pro-life values.”

“But if Alabama elects liberal Democrat Doug Jones,” he cautions, “all of our progress will be stopped cold.”

The president’s subsequent messaging mirrors many of his tweets in support of the embattled racist and homophobic Senate hopeful. In the call, he ups his attacks on Moore’s opponent Doug Jones, and advises that “Roy Moore is the guy we need to pass our ‘Make America Great Again’ agenda.”

“Get out and vote for Roy Moore,” Trump ends the call. “His vote is our Republican Senate, and it’s needed. We need Roy to help us with the Republican Senate. We will win, and we will Make America Great Again.”
