Ivanka Trump Falsely Claims Americans Next Year Will Be Doing Taxes ‘On a Single Postcard’ – and the President Retweets It

‘Ivanka, Honey, the Taxes on a Postcard Thing Never Happened’

President Trump has absolutely no idea what’s in what he calls the “Massive Tax Cuts” bill he’s about to sign in early January. None.

One “Fox & Friends” Thursday morning Advisor to the President Ivanka Trump wrongly stated “the vast majority” of Americans next April will be filing their taxes “on a single postcard.”

That’s a GOP talking point before the tax bill vote, and it’s 100% false. It’s not in the bill. Period.

One year ago liberals were hopeful that Ivanka Trump would act as a progressive counterweight to her farther’s insane impulsive impulses. Others saw her as a calming force. And still others saw her as a voice of reason and intelligence.

They were all wrong.

Ivanka Trump has proven not only ineffective, but also not a progressive counterweight, not a calming force, and certainly not a voice of reason and intelligence.

Thursday morning in a lengthy Fox News interview the First Daughter was given the opportunity to brag about her impact on the just-passed Republican tax-cuts-for-the-rich bill, which will massively enrich her and her entire family, especially President Trump.

Then Fox & Friends mentioned she would be traveling the country to help Republicans sell the disastrous tax cuts law.

And that’s when Ivanka Trump exposed herself as grossly ill-informed, and a drinker of the GOP Kool-Aid.

“I’m really looking forward to doing a lot of traveling in April, when people realize the effect that this has, both on the process of filling out their taxes – the vast majority will be doing so on a single postcard, but also experiencing the relief that will be starting as early as February.”

The vast majority of Americans will not be filling out their taxes on a single postcard. That’s not going to happen, despite GOP promises. No one will – it’s not a provision in the legislation.

And yet, Fox News, the media platform for the Trump administration and the GOP, tweeted it out.

And President Donald Trump blindly retweeted it, proving he has no idea what he’s doing, what Republicans are doing, or what is in the tax bill.

On Twitter, many were quick to mock the Advisor to the President.

UPDATE:
White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders also retweeted Ivanka Trump’s false claim:
