Trump to Hold Campaign Rally 20 Miles Outside Alabama So He Can Not Campaign for Roy Moore

‘The President Is Not Planning Any Trip to Alabama at This Time’

President Donald Trump will not be campaigning for accused child molester Roy Moore, but he will hold a campaign rally just four days before the December 12 special election. It won’t be in Alabama, but it will be just 20 miles south of the The Heart of Dixie, in  Pensacola, Florida.

“Pensacola is in the same media market as Mobile, Ala., which could allow Trump to reach Alabama voters without having to actually travel to the state and specifically rally for Moore,” The Washington Post reports.

The White House this week insisted Trump would not campaign for Moore, claiming his schedule was too full even if he wanted to.

“The President is not planning any trip to Alabama at this time,” White House press secretary Sarah Sanders had told reporters at Monday’s press briefing. “Frankly, his schedule doesn’t permit him doing anything between now and Election Day.”
