WATCH: McKinnon’s Jeff Sessions Returns to SNL for Questioning

“When I Say ‘I Do Not,’ You Say ‘Recall!’”

Kate McKinnon’s tail-clad Jeff Sessions returned to this week’s Saturday Night Live for another line of questioning on “Weekend Update.”

The sketch show wasted no time tackling the United States Attorney General’s testimony before the House Judiciary Committee on Tuesday, in which he responded “I don’t recall” (or a variation thereof) at least 20 times.

“When I say ‘I do not,’ you say ‘recall!’” McKinnon addressed the audience, which quickly complied.

“I noticed you said that a lot during your testimony,” the sketch’s host Colin Jost responded, “do you really not remember meeting with George Papadopoulos about Russia?”

“Well, you know, Colin,” Sessions responded, “I’ve had some memory problems stemming from a childhood trauma.”

“A childhood trauma?” Jost asked. “What was that?”

“The passing of the Civil Rights Act,” McKinnon deadpanned.

The duo proceeded to have a question and answer session, which included a special appearance by Sessions’ possum tail and the “Attorney General” playing dead. You can watch the full sketch below:
