Trump Calls ‘Russia, Russia, Russia’ a ‘Democrat Excuse’

Discredits All 17 U.S. Intelligence Agencies (Again)

Donald Trump returned to Twitter early Sunday evening to once again discredit all 17 U.S. intelligence agencies who have concluded that Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election.

Ahead of his latest golf trip, the president began his morning by advocating for Roy Moore, who is accused by at least nine women of various acts of inappropriate behavior and sexual assault, including of a child. He even reminded anyone who would listen that he’d fully embraced the embattled U.S. Senate hopeful, noting that he was a “really great guy” who would “help to MAGA.”

But perhaps interested in changing the narrative, or because Russia is frequently on the president’s mind, he returned to the topic.

“Since the first day I took office, all you hear is the phony Democrat excuse for losing the election, Russia, Russia,Russia,” the president tweeted. “Despite this I have the economy booming and have possibly done more than any 10 month President. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

All 17 U.S. government intelligence agencies have unanimously agreed that Russia worked to disrupt Americans’ opinions in an attempt to install the candidate Putin preferred—namely, Donald Trump.

Just weeks ago, the president advised Vladimir Putin “said he didn’t meddle” and that he believed him.

“Every time he sees me, he says, ‘I didn’t do that,'” Trump said. “And I believe, I really believe, that when he tells me that, he means it.”

Within the last month, it was revealed that Donald Trump Jr. was in direct contact with Wikileaks throughout the campaign. It was also revealed that former Trump campaign foreign policy advisor George Papadopoulos secretly pled guilty to making false statements to the FBI, with statements involving Russia.

Donald Trump’s former campaign manager Paul Manafort was also indicted in Robert Mueller’s Russia probe, with charges that included “conspiracy against the United States.”

It’s easy to dismiss the president’s ranting as commonplace, or to grow used to it. But discrediting all U.S. intelligence agencies is extremely dangerous. On a lighthearted note, however, here’s a tweet utilizing the “Make Trump Tweets Eight Again” add-on which transcribes the president’s words.
