Bill Will Raise Taxes on Middle Class
Senate Republicans on the Budget Committee just passed the disastrous tax bill that will actually raise taxes on the middle class while giving large tax cuts to the wealthy. The vote was entirely on party lines, 12-11.Â
Polls show the majority of Americans oppose the legislation, which is constantly in flux. Most correctly believe it is a tax cut for millionaires and billionaires. It also removes the individual mandate for ObamaCare, which could shatter health care exchanges.
The bill will now go to the Senate floor.Â
