‘You Must Immediately and Fully Come Up With a Satisfactory Explanation for Your Inconsistencies That I Just Showed’

Sean Hannity is cutting Roy Moore loose. 

The conservative host who is so extreme he nearly lost his Fox News job over the insane Seth Rich murder conspiracy theory is drawing the line at child sexual assault and attempted rape. 

Hannity rushed to Roy Moore’s defense last week, inviting him on his radio show barely 24 hours after the Washington Post’s bombshell Thursday article detailing accusations by a woman who says she was just 14 when Moore sexually assaulted her. Hannity tried to give Moore the opportunity to flatly deny all he allegations against him, but Moore did the opposite. He actually admitted he had “dated a lot of young ladies” when he was the Deputy District Attorney. But Moore also clarified that “generally” he hadn’t dated women under 18, and always got their mother’s permission first.

Then on Monday a new accuser stepped forward, with her high school yearbook she says Roy Moore signed. An Alabama judge on Tuesday said Moore signature in the yearbook was identical to the Constitution Moore signed for him 15 years ago. The new accuser said she thought Moore was going to rape her and described in tearful, credible, intimate detail how he assaulted her in his car behind the restaurant she worked.

Tuesday night Hannity had had enough. Maybe it was the flurry of advertisers pulling their support from him – again – or maybe, just maybe his conscience woke up a little.

Hannity cut Moore loose.

“For me, the Judge has 24 hours,” the Fox News host told viewers Tuesday night. “You must immediately and fully come up with a satisfactory explanation for your inconsistencies that I just showed,” Hannity said, talking about Moore’s hedging on Hannity’s radio show Friday, and his apparent signature in the yearbook.

“You must remove any doubt. If he can’t do this, then Judge Moore needs to get out of this race.”
