WATCH: Roy Moore Accuser Leigh Corfman Says ‘At 14 I Was Not Dating’ and ‘Was Not Able to Make Those Kind of Choices’

First TV Interview Since Washington Post Story

Leigh Corfman says at 14 years old she was not “dating,” and she was too young to make the choices a 32-year old Roy Moore wanted her to make.

“At 14 I was not dating. At 14, I was not able to make those kind of choices,” Corfman told NBC’s “Today” show Monday morning.

Corfman had told The Washington Post she was just 14 years old when Roy Moore, then 32, drove her to his home, removed her clothes and his clothes, touched her over her underwear and tried to get her to touch him over his. She says she told him she was uncomfortable and he drove her home.

She described how Moore, in his home, “proceeded to, um, seduce me, I guess you would say.” 

“He touched me over my clothing, what was left of it, and he tried to get me to touch him as well,” she told NBC News.

“I was a 14-year-old child trying to playing in an adult’s world, and he was 32 years old,” she added. “I had been reading Harlequin romances for years. I was expecting candlelight and roses, what I got was very different.” 

Years later, she says, “I wanted to walk into his office and say, ‘Hey, remember me? You need to knock this stuff off. I need to go public.’ My children were small so I didn’t do it,” she explained.

Moore has said he does not know Corfman.

“I wonder how many ‘me’s’ he doesn’t know,” she asked.

Corfman says she “didn’t go looking for this,” and only agreed to go public if The Washington Post, which contacted her, could find other to share their stories too.
