Last Week Trump Said He Might Campaign for Roy Moore. Now, Apparently Not. Why?

Is Roy Moore Losing Ground?

President Donald Trump will not be traveling to Alabama to campaign for Republican candidate Roy Moore. Just last week the president suggested he might, when asked by reporters, saying he would announce his decision this week.

Apparently he has, and apparently, he will not.

White House official says Trump will not campaign for embattled Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore before Dec. 12 election,” the AP said Monday in a tweet.

MSNBC’s Sam Stein says Trump’s decision means he doesn’t think Moore is a shoe-in.

Trump has had no reservation in attacking Moore’s Democratic opponent, making it very clear the head of the Republican Party, along with many top Republicans, would rather have an alleged child molester in the U.S. Senate than a Democrat.
