Charlie Rose Terminated From CBS

‘Effective Immediately’

Charlie Rose has been terminated from CBS. The veteran journalist and “CBS This Morning” co-host was suspended by CBS barely more than one hour after eight women, mostly former employees of his “Charlie Rose” show, accused Rose of at minimum sexual harassment in a well-sourced story Monday afternoon by The Washington Post.

PBS and Bloomberg within minutes of CBS suspending Rose halted production and distribution of “Charlie Rose,” the long-running show that Rose owns.

CNN senior media correspondent Brian Stelter first reported the news Rose’s contract has been terminated by CBS via Twitter.

Following the Post’s report, Business Insider reported an additional three women had come forward to accuse Rose of sexual harassment. One of the Washington Post’s reporters who broke the story says her email box has been “flooded” with additional claims against Rose.

Stelter also tweeted an internal memo from CBS News President David Rhodes.
