Alabama Judge: Roy Moore’s ‘Signature Is Identical to That on Beverly Young Nelson’s Yearbook’

How Much More Proof Do Republicans Need?

Jefferson County, Alabama Circuit Court Judge Bob Vance says the signature in Beverly Young Nelson’s yearbook is identical to the one on a copy of the U.S. Constitution Moore signed and gave him when he joined the judiciary 15 years ago.

Judge Vance happens to be married to former U.S. Attorney Joyce Vance, who served from 2009-2017. She increasingly can be seen on MSNBC.

On Monday Beverly Young Nelson with her attorney, Gloria Allred, came forward to charge “Judge” Roy Moore with sexual assault. She says she worked at a restaurant which he frequented. He repeatedly praised her and she was impressed because she saw him as an important man. At the time Moore was the Deputy District Attorney.

Nelson told reporters Moore asked to sign her yearbook, and held up Moore’s comments including his signature:

One week later Moore offered to drive her home when her boyfriend was late in picking her up from the restaurant after her shift. Instead, he drove to the back of the restaurant building and sexually assaulted her. “I thought he was going to rape me,” she told reporters.

A flurry of Republican Senators later called on Moore to withdraw from the race, clearly finding her remarks credible.
