‘Thoughts and Prayers’ Pour Out to Sutherland Springs, Site of America’s Latest Mass Shooting
27 Dead, 30+ Wounded
It’s been just over a month since the Las Vegas massacre, in which 58 Americans were murdered and over 500 more were injured at a country music concert.
Now, at least 27 are reported dead, with 30 more injured, after a gunman opened fire at the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs early Sunday, making the Texas city the site of the country’s latest mass shooting.
Following this latest tragedy, the president, from Japan, asked that God be with those in Sutherland Springs:
May God be w/ the people of Sutherland Springs, Texas. The FBI & law enforcement are on the scene. I am monitoring the situation from Japan.
